Amaryllis, or knight's star, is a symbol of extraordinary beauty.
List for care
Shorten the stems by 3 to 5 cm with sharp scissors or a knife.
Place the stems in clean vases with the addition of bulb fertilizer. The fertilizer ensures that the flowers open and that the water is not contaminated with bacteria. Change the water every other day.
Make sure the flowers are not wet. Moisture encourages the growth of fungus in the form of leaf spots, which reduces the decorative value of the flowers.
When creating bouquets, insert a support into the hollow stem.
To prevent the tip of the stem from twisting, just wrap it in an elastic band. The tape will not interfere with the absorption of water by the flower.
If you want the tips of the stems to be curled in the bouquet, you can just cut them into very thin strips. Then place the amaryllis in a cool place where the tips begin to curl.
Amaryllis can be stored in refrigerators in boxes. A suitable storage temperature is between 8 and 12 degrees Celsius. However, it should be remembered that the shorter the storage period, the longer the life of the flower.
