Cut 3-5cm of plant stems with a sharp knife or scissors.

Place the stems in clean vases with added fertilizer made for the bulbs. The fertilizer ensures that the flowers open and that the water is free from the bacteria. The water has to be changed every second day.

Make sure the bulbs do not get wet! Moisture stimulates the growth of fungus in the form of leaf spots, which reduces the decorative value of the flowers.

When creating a bouquet, insert support into the hollow stem.

To prevent the tip of the stem from twisting, wrap it in an elastic band. A strip of flowers will not interfere with water absorption.

If you want the ends of the stems in the bouquet curly, you can cut them into skinny strips. Then place Amaryllis in a cool place where the tips begin to curl.

You can store Amaryllis in cold storage boxes, and the appropriate storage temperature is between 8-12 degrees Celsium. However, you should remember that the shorter the storage period, the longer the life span of the bloom will be.
